Health Binder looks at health as a human issue. It focuses on the lives of mothers seeking safe care, patients moving through fragile systems, health workers doing their best with limited resources, and communities pushing for dignity, access, and justice.

It does not only focus on what is broken. It also pays attention to what people are rebuilding, improving, and reimagining.

Lourdes Walusala

Lourdes Walusala is a health journalist with over a decade of experience covering health systems, maternal health, and surgery across Africa.

Her personal experience with surgery and healthcare shaped her commitment to telling stories that connect policy with people.
